Premium FX Collection
Discrete 8 Premium comes with the premium FX pack featuring 50+ of Antelope Audio's real-time FPGA FX plug-ins, which are authentic digital re-creations of classic hardware processors. The premium FX pack allows you to employ the full studio power of the Antelope Audio real-time FPGA FX, allowing you to utilise 4 channel strips with 4 FX instances each, and up to 16 channel strips using the new AFX2DAW plug-in. The included effects and processors can be used in your preferred DAW using the AFX2DAW plug-in, allowing you to control many of these classic, high-quality processors, right in your DAW. Discrete 8's effects deliver exceptional quality and accurate emulations of the vintage processors. The FPGA FX library includes over 50 Antelope Audio real-time FPGA FX including compressors, reverbs, EQs, and much more. Antelope Audio are constantly working to provide you with new and free vintage processors in the future.
Accusonic 3D Modelling
The Antelope Audio Discrete 8 features 8 console-grade preamps that feature a fully discrete design. Discrete 8 allows you to fully transform these high quality Accusonic preamps in a plethora of classic units in real-time. Accusionic modeling emulates the sounds of many classic and expensive microphones. It allows you to choose from a collection of various mics, and record their results as you monitor live. This allows you to choose between a blend of different preamp models during mixing. The Accusonic 3D modeling engine allows you to transform both the Edge and Verge microphones into vintage replicas, giving you full control over the proximity effect, off-axis response, and polar patterns, before or after recording. You can choose whether you want to record with or without Accusonic modeling, and vary between different mic and preamp models whilst mixing. Combine the Discrete 8 with the Antelope Audio Edge and Verge microphones to fully experience the new microphone modeling technology.
Rock-Solid Clocking
Discrete 8 features Antelope's 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking. Included is a word clock input that de-jitters, and distributes an external clock signal. The 3 WC outputs allows you to distribute your signal to your other digital gear and mic preamps, whilst keeping it all fully synced together.
Versatile Monitor Mixing
Antelope Audio Discrete 8 allows you to monitor up to 4 individual monitor mixes. The Discrete 8 features a comprehensive monitoring section with built-in talkback. Discrete 8 allows you to send 4 individual monitor mixes to headphones or monitor output, with or without FPGA FX. This allows you to tailor monitor mixes to each performer, enabling them to hear a sound as close to the final product as possible. Use the handy levels on the front panel of the Discrete 8 to always keep track of your levels.
Advanced Remote Control
Discrete 8 allows for easy remote control with its downloadable remote app. The app allows you to take control of microphone input levels, talkback levels, and monitoring and headphone loudness levels. Additionally, musicians can also take control of their own monitor mixes (if they have the app), allowing them to feel completely comfortable with their mix, and provide you with a more efficient recording session.
Save & Load AFX Presets
With Discrete 8 you can save and load AFX presets, and exchange settings across all Antelope Audio FPGA-equipped interfaces. This allows you to exchange FX settings with other devices, and other Antelope users. It's also great for transferring settings between different studios.
