Poplar/mahogany shell

The Pearl EXX Export 12" Rack Tom features a high-quality 6-ply, 7.5mm poplar and Asian mahogany blended shell. The shell offers a crisp tone with the perfect amount of warmth. The tone is extremely versatile and fits into a wide range of drumming styles and genres, from smooth jazz all the way to rock.

Superior Shell Technology

The Export Series incorporates Pearl’s Superior Shell Technology - SST, taking cues from the award-winning Reference Series, the new Export puts sound first. A sonically advanced recipe of strategically arranged plies of premium wood, chosen for their unique acoustic attributes, maximises the response of every component. Formed using extreme heart, precision-cut scarf joints for a perfect air-tight fit, and over 1000lbs of hydraulic pressure to create the ultimate acoustic air chamber.

Custom lugs

The specifically designed sound enhancing lugs on the Export drums further emphasise Pearl’s sound first philosophy. Designed for minimal shell interaction, they have a small footprint and low-mass for maximum resonance and sustain. Their bold look is modern with a hint of Pearl’s past.
