What sets the Bebop kit apart from other configurations from Mapex is its small, compact size. This means that they can be easier to move around, which is ideal if you move your kit from your home to a separate practice area quite often. Mapex Bebop kits are perfect for the gigging drummer as they are significantly faster to load-in, set-up, tear-down, and should easily fit inside a standard car. They are also ideal for smaller venues that are limited on stage space.

As well being portable, the shallow depth shells deliver a punchier sound and are specifically designed for drummers who focus on a more jazz-specific play-style.

Premium Mars features

The Mars Drum Kits feature insulated bass drum claws that include rubber gaskets to protect the hoop from damage and prevent rattling or buzzing during long playing sessions. The 100 birch 6 ply shells produce great focus and allow the drums to sound quickly and project clearly. Rack toms have a punchy brightness whilst the bass drum and floor toms have lower frequencies with enhanced punch and body.

The matching snare drum gives a unified look to this kit and giving you that solid, snare crack. The size of the snare provides great tuning and musical versatility.

Soniclear Bearing Edge

The SONIClear™ Bearing Edge is standard on all Mars shells and allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, effortless and consistent tuning and a significantly expanded tuning range.

The SONIClear™ on the rack toms increases overall resonance by preserving vibration in the drumheads and shell whilst preventing energy transferring to the hardware.
