Ashikos are cone-shaped drums which are members of a family of West African instruments related to the Djembe.

View Full DescriptionAshikos are cone-shaped drums which are members of a family of West African instruments related to the Djembe. Remo offers key-tuned and rope-tuned Ashikos, both models were developed with drum circle facilitator, Arthur Hull. For durability, weather resistance, and ultimately for sound, every Ashiko features Type 2 FIBERSKYN® 3 drumheads.
Ashikos are made with a high density molded bearing edge, for better shell to drumhead contact that results in a better sound.
