A storied history, a bright future

At the turn of the '60s the Fender Jazz Bass was born. After the domination of the P Bass throughout the '50s, Fender decided to extend their bass range to feature the more stylish and deluxe Jazz Bass. With its new pickup design, the jazz bass offered much more tonal versatility than the Precision bass. You didn't just get a single sound, you got an entire palette of bass tones. Bass playing would no longer be a way to add low end to the mix, with the Jazz Bass, it became an experience
