Rather than a front port to project the sound outward, the "Solitaire" features a port on the top side of the guitar to direct the sound to the player. There were some interesting results when the first "Solitaire" samples arrived. Even though the guitars were designed for the player and not the audience, the front sound projection was incredible. Since the soundboard increased in size due to not cutting a hole in the front, it produced more treble, midrange, and overall volume.
The sound port on the top of the guitar produced enhanced low range frequencies which could be heard all around the room as low frequencies are omni-directional. In other words, this guitar sounds incredible out front also!
When partnered with the AB4-T Preamp system, it makes the perfect guitar for stage, professional recording, and home studio applications. With the "Solitaire's" great playability and tone, it's the perfect choice for any working musician. (And it also looks really, really cool.)

Please note:
This item is an ex showroom display model. As such, there are light scuffs and signs of use around the finish. These marks are subtle and are only really noticeable when looking closely in the light. Otherwise the guitar plays as new. There are light scuffs to the edges of the carry case and the original boxing is missing.
