The Parlor guitar is small, lightweight and perfect for fingerstyle techniques. With its smaller body dimensions, it is still a full scale guitar and offers the same resonance and projection. As well as being the perfect choice for adults, the Motif is the perfect size for children, as its smaller dimensions allow it to be held with comfort.
The La Patrie Motif Q1 features a stunning select pressure tested solid cedar top. This manufacturing process of pressure testing each solid top, ensures the highest levels of stiffness and rigidity along with maximum harmonic vibration. This process is becoming more and more popular with guitar manufacturing as it benefits the overall tone, projection and resonance of a guitar. It is this combination of quality, rigidity and flexibility that gives the top its resonance and appearance.
The La Patrie Motif Q1 is also environmentally friendly, as the wood used for the top is found only in Cedar trees that have previously fallen. This particular wood is well know for its distinctive straight grain, and red-brown tones. It is a particular common choice for finger-style players.
Like all guitars in La Patrie series, the La Patrie Motif Q1 features a stunning custom polished finish, which is inspired by the appearance of French polish of the 19th Century. Rather than featuring a thick coat of polish like standard classical guitars, the Motif's custom polish is thinner and allows the top not only to be protected, but also to breathe and vibrate freely. This type of finish also ensures the sound gets better with age, and makes a worthwhile investment.
As well as featuring a stunning body that resonates well, La Patrie Motif Q1 also features an innovative double-function truss rod system within its mahogany neck. Truss rods are never normally featured on classical guitars and have always been made with thick neck dimensions, yet its function on the Motif allows for a slimmer neck profile. This clever truss rod system offers extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability.
As well as featuring a fully resonant body, La Patrie Motif Q1 is also equipped with Quantum l electronics. This streamlined technology features a responsive saddle-transducer and an easy to use preamp section with a metal sidemount. Operating this preamp is simple using the rotary controls for volume, treble and bass to tweak your tone. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in great performance.
A beautiful guitar wouldn't be complete without the final touches. The Motif Q1 is nicely finished off with an intricate rosette, cream binding, rosewood fingerboard and bridge as well as a cream Tusq nut and a fully compensated saddle by Graphtech.
