Spruce up your sound

Tasteful tonewoods. There's a masteful combination of materials in the SE A50E to blend a resonant and rich sound. Solid spruce is one of the most popular choices for the acoustic tops. Its natural qualities lend themselves fantastically to acoustic soundboards, rewarding you with rich mids and a detailed low-end. As PRS are always concerned with utilising the best components for the best sound, it is no surprise they've chosen spruce to power the Angelus' projection. To elevate that even further, its underpinned by their hybrid X bracing, letting your sound reach the heavens.

To create a stunning three-dimensional sound experience, the Angelus A50E uses maple for the body back and sides. Exuding a rich soundscape that's warm and packs plenty of depth, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how clearly this tonewood resonates. It's fantastic .

Mahogany neck and ebony fretboard

Peak performance. Ebony is some of the best quality fretboard wood available, and it's demonstrated clearly in the SE A50E. It's alluring, dark and wonderfully soft to touch. Innately smooth and slick, you'll have no trouble performing swift movements around the registers. It's a delight for your fingers. Your ears will also enjoy its sweet, bright response that will lift detail out of your notes.

Set on a mahogany wide-fat neck, it's incredibly comfortable in your palm. Rounded enough to feel snug yet still providing plenty of space for players with smaller hands. Mahogany provides a dark textural tone to offset the brighter ebony, and together they permit excellent vibration transference to the body.
