The Torpedo Studio Digital Loadbox is a simple solution to the common problems often associated with speaker cabinets such as noise, weight and size. This high quality loadbox has been especially designed to deliver the best tone out of your gear, and is equipped with an increased admissible power, a switchable impedance (4, 8, or 16 Ohms), and the possibility to choose between resistive and reactive loadbox with 2 processing channels. The Torpedo can also be used in the studio, for a clean sound.
Packed full of 50 cabinets and 8 microphones, the Torpedo also allows you to upgrade and add more cabinets through the online virtual cabinet store called 'La Boutique'. The virtual miking is done by choosing one cabinet and one microphone, then fine-tuning the position of the microphone in front of the cabinet. The Torpedo enables the user to assume the role of the sound engineer in a professional studio, and makes it a great tool for beginners.
The Torpedo is the pinnacle of speaker and miking simulation and is equipped with exclusive studio technology for the modern guitarist. Equipped with a highly realistic speaker simulation achieved by use of convolution, the Torpedo Loadbox accurately reproduces the characteristics of the whole miking chain (speaker, microphone, preamplifier, studio room acoustic) for a superb sound.
As many guitarists know, many different factors influence the sound of your guitar or bass rig when it comes to recording. The Torpedo will improve the sound of your takes during studio sessions, and even reproduces the smallest variations of cabinet behaviour, including frequency response and distortion. When recording guitars and basses it is common to apply a few effects to shape the sound before it is sent to the PA or recorder, and the Torpedo comes with a simple but efficient EQ filter, 1-band exciter, and a studio compressor for a studio quality sound.
