Explore algorithmic sound design
At the core of the Leviasynth Desktop is an algorithmic engine built around eight oscillators per voice. Each oscillator offers access to over 300 waveforms and multiple synthesis modes, including phase and modulation based approaches.
Algorithms define how these oscillators influence one another, shaping movement, texture, and harmonic complexity. With 144 preset algorithms available, sound design feels guided rather than overwhelming. You can also create a custom algorithm per patch, giving you space to develop signature sounds that respond dynamically to modulation and performance input.
Shape tone with hybrid filters and effects
The hybrid filter section combines precision and character. A digital multimode filter provides a wide selection of responses, covering classic shapes and more specialised tonal options. This is paired with a four pole analog low-pass filter that adds warmth, drive, and self-oscillation when pushed.
Effects are built directly into the signal path, with insert and master stages covering modulation, dynamics, distortion, delay, and reverb. Keeping effects onboard makes it easier to finish sounds without relying on external processing.
Perform with expressive pads
The 16 Polytouch pads are designed for detailed, hands-on performance. Each pad responds to velocity and polyphonic aftertouch, letting you shape parameters like filter cutoff, modulation depth, or timbre on a per-note basis. This works well for rhythmic parts, expressive chords, and evolving sequences.
MPE compatibility extends expressive control further when used with compatible software or controllers. Combined with macros and a flexible modulation matrix, the Leviasynth encourages active interaction with sound during both creation and performance.
Sequence, layer, and manage easily
A built-in three-track sequencer records note data and macro automation, making it useful for building evolving patterns quickly. The arpeggiator offers multiple modes alongside an Entropy function for controlled variation.
Single mode assigns all 16 voices to one sound, while Multi mode splits voices into two parts for layers or performance setups. Extensive patch storage supports large sound libraries, and the free ASM Patch Manager software simplifies firmware updates and patch organisation on Mac and PC systems.
