Frequency Central Cosmic Background, Analog Drum Voice

The Frequency Central Cosmic Background, Analog Drum Voice is an all-analog, multi-timbral drum voice module for Eurorack synthesizers. Cosmic Background is split into four interconnected sections with a white-noise source at the centre. Manipulating the white-noise sources can lead to a wide range of exciting percussive elements. The three remaining sections are comprised of a release generator, switchable high and low-pass filter and VCA.

To shape and sculpt your sound, controls such as Cutoff, Resonance and Release are included. Resonance can be used to add a large amount of punch and attack to your signal, whilst Cutoff helps to focus the sound to accurately emulate different elements of a drum kit. Adjusting the Release of your sound will extend the envelope of your sound, helping to add sustain and bloom to your drum. With such a diverse range of controls, Cosmic Background can handle everything from pounding techno kicks, sizzling trap hats and punchy snares.

Flexible CV control is used throughout with the addition of Gate, Filter and VCA CV inputs as well as Release, Noise, VCF and VCA outputs. These can be patched externally or left internally pre-patched for a huge range of integration with your existing Eurorack synthesizer.
