The five toggle switches provide you with an instantaneous selection of waveforms. This makes it ideal for quickly adjusting your tone during live performances. The Monograf is designed with the professional musician in mind. When engaging the triangle waveform you'll notice that it's routed directly into the VCA, bypassing the VCF. This allows you to maintain a powerful low-end, even with higher resonance settings, allowing it to cut through the mix.
The 12dB/ octave OTA lowpass VCF is inspired by the ARP Odyssey Mk1 "Whiteface". The Monograf's VCF is riddled with character and provides a sharp resonance. Create rich and interesting tones by clipping the inputs with the dedicated drive controls. Make sure you're recording, as no two performances will be the same. Your chosen level of drive will have a incredible effect over the filter. Push it to its limits in order to saturate the signal and reduce resonance.
