Key Features
The Verbos Electronics Random Sampling is a unique and exploratory Eurorack module that lets you experiment with randomisation of control voltages with no repetition. A selection of random voltage sources adds a sense of incidental sound design to both control and audio signals that you can get lost in and explore new, uncharted territories.

One of the main functions of the Random Sampling is the fluctuating randoms section of the module. These are two sources of random modulated voltages and an uncorrelated random gate. The rate of the CV's is controlled via the CV input with a reversing attenuator, where the rate can be swept through barely perceivable slow changes, all the way up to audio rate. By sweeping the rate, you can produce percussion sounds through an envelope patched into the CV input.
At the heart of Random Sampling is the quantised randoms section. Centered around a digital sample and hold that grabs random CVs, determined by the control panel, Random Sampling sends these unique voltages through the two outputs with different distributions. The pattern generated is truly random and will never repeat at any time, unlike other random generators, to give you a completely unique experience every time you pick up the instrument.
Featuring an analog shift register, Random Sampling gives you the ability to expand the patching of your module into the rest of your modular Eurorack synthesizer. Made up of four sample and hold circuits that are chained together, you can pass the sample through the four circuits like a bucket brigade style delay unit. This allows you to patch into each of the sample and holds individually and use it for another module within your system for a hugely expanded functionality. Accepting both positive and negative voltages, there is no limit to what can be passed through the analog shift register, giving you maximum flexibility within your system.
Not only a random sampling module, you are provided with an all-analog noise source that can be manipulated within your system. With a selection of white noise, pink noise and metallic noise can be used to create different layers within your sound or to be played through Random Sampling to create a vintage electronic cymbal sound reminiscent of classic drum machines.
