By using a 1mm MEMS condenser (that utilises a chip instead of a diaphragm), DuraPlex is able to deliver a big sound from just a few tiny components. Whilst the absence of a moving diaphragm makes it far less prone to disruption from debris and moisture.

An omnidirectional pickup pattern ensures an open and natural character, and the full range frequency response provides the detail needed to meet the highest standards in professional audio. This is premium sound, in a tiny, tough package.

Advanced Plex cable

A microphone is only as reliable as the cable it is connected to. Thankfully, the 1.6 mm Plex cable (first introduced with the award-winning TwinPlex range) is as robust as it can get - ensuring flawless signal transfer from headset to bodypack.

To simulate years of intense use, the ultra-thin cable was flexed, stretched, and pulled to the absolute limit at Shure's development facility. The result - not a single sign of wear and tear. Plex cables simply don't misshape, kink or split - which makes them super reliable and always easy to fit.

What's more, because this is a 'medical-grade' cable it will never dry out, never crack, and never deteriorate from chemical or water exposure. Which means it can be customised with theatre paints and polishes, and washed down afterwards.

Accessories for any scenario

The DuraPlex DH5 headset comes with an assortment of useful accessories to help you get the most out of your microphone.

A presence cap provides additional vocal clarity. When attached it adds a 3-4 dB boost near 10 kHz - ideal if you're competing against a lot of background noise. There are also two windshields - foam and snap-fit - to ensure a clean sound in hostile locations. Along with tie clips and a sticky mount, you have everything you need to fit your headset correctly.

Crucially, the TQG locking collar guarantees a completely fixed connection between your headset and bodypack. For total peace of mind during vigorous performances or fitness applications.
