What Is Euclidean?

The module is based on ideal originally presented by Euclid, the Greek mathematician. The basic concept of Euclidean rhythms is that distributing an arbitrary number of beats evenly over a large number of pulses generates a musically useful rhythm, and many of these rhythms are found in music all around the world.

Length, Step & Offset Control

The Euclidean Pattern Generator offers up to 16 steps, with a length control that allows you to choose between 1 and 16. The STEPS control then allows you to set the number of active steps to be distributed across the Euclidean pattern, while the OFFSET knob offsets the initial step of the Euclidean pattern. By adjusting these on the fly, you can create interesting variations of your sequence.
