Moog Transistor Filter

AJH have spent copious amounts of hours and hard work to bring you one of the closest replicas of the famous Moog transistor ladder filter. The original filter has been famous for years and was patented but since the patent was removed many people have cloned and copied the filter. However, many have not been as close to the original as AJH. They have managed to get a replica as close as possible to the original transitor ladder filter and its famous sound.

Voltage Controlled Emphasis

The Minimod VCF features a vactrol based circuit which enables voltage control capability and is responsible for the filter emphasis effect. The amount of voltage control can be adjusted with the EMP-CV rotary knob. This high speed vactrol allows for the maximum speeds to reach well into the audio range. The VCF manages to offer the same control response of the resonance (emphasis) as the original design with a antilog taper potentiometer of the same specification.

Overdrive

An additional overdrive effect can be added to the Minimod VCF by removing the jumper on the circuit board. Essentially what this does is double the gain to the front end of the filter resulting in an overdrive effect. Easily return the gain back to normal by re-connecting the jumper again.
