Brings vintage tone and feel into the modern studio
The ODC 2800 faithfully recreates all three iconic versions of the ARP Odyssey, combining their most sought-after sonic traits into one flexible instrument. Each of the Mk I, Mk II, and Mk III models is available as a separate UI panel, complete with corresponding VCF circuits and panel layouts. Whether you’re after the raw punch of the 2800’s 2-pole filter, the smooth roundness of the 2810’s 4-pole ladder design, or the precision of the 2820’s 4-pole cascade filter, the ODC 2800 gives you direct access to each with selectable filter types and gain compensation features. For added authenticity, drift controls for VCO, VCF and EG recreate subtle tuning and behaviour shifts common in analogue circuits. All of this sits within a highly visual interface that not only mirrors the look of the originals, but also enhances usability with Cherry Audio’s UI lock and zoom features.
Expanded sound-shaping that goes far beyond the original
While staying true to its roots, the ODC 2800 brings in powerful modern features. It adds a third VCO, each with multiple waveforms, quantise functions, and flexible routing as well as three independent FM modulators per oscillator. These allow for advanced techniques like ring modulation and cross-mod between oscillators. Modulation paths are highly assignable, with 35 mod sources and 33 destinations available across the synth's mixer, VCOs, VCF, and VCA. Additional tools like a sample-and-hold mixer, dual LFOs with key sync and polyphonic modes, pulse width shaping, and custom pitch bend via PPC all contribute to a deeper and more responsive playing experience. Whether you're building vintage textures or evolving digital soundscapes, this synth has the tools to deliver both.
Designed for expressive control and flexible performance
The ODC 2800 is tailored for both keyboard players and studio-based producers. It offers monophonic, legato, duophonic, and polyphonic modes with up to 16 voices and unison. This allows for everything from sharp lead lines to lush, stacked chords. Smart portamento includes delay settings per oscillator, and velocity and aftertouch, including polyphonic aftertouch, are fully supported when paired with compatible controllers. You’ll also find three assignable aftertouch paths, each with 24 destination options for responsive modulation. Real-time tweaks are easy thanks to full MIDI and DAW automation support across every control, and MIDI Learn simplifies mapping external gear. All parameters can be saved at a global or preset level for fast recall. For standalone use, the plugin includes a full-featured instrument version, letting you run it outside your DAW environment with the same high-quality sound and performance capabilities.
Integrated effects to finish your sounds inside the plugin
With its built-in effects panel, the ODC 2800 removes the need for external processing. You get distortion and EQ, a dual-stage phaser, flanger/chorus, three delay types, and five different reverb options, all with high-quality sound and full modulation capability. Each effect includes easy-access sliders for dry/wet mix, modulator depth, and solo functions. You can switch effects on and off individually or globally, and stereo width is also adjustable. A dedicated effects LFO offers six waveforms and delay control for creative rhythmic modulation of your effects chain. This design is ideal for sculpting anything from subtle ambience to heavily-processed textures. Combined with over 330 factory presets across 13 categories, the ODC 2800 provides a complete sound design environment with vintage tone, modern tools, and a seamless workflow all in one plugin.
