The Lewitt LCT 550 Condenser Microphone is the first microphone in the world to achieve zero self-noise. This means none of the internal circuitry or components output any noise, ensuring the purest signal integrity and eliminating any sound colouration. The 0dB self-noise design means you can capture even the weakest of signals with optimal precision and clarity. At the heart of the microphone is an ultra-thin, gold-layered, 1-inch diaphragm with a dynamic range of up to 140dB, allowing you to record virtually any source you put in front of it. The wide frequency response ranges from 20 – 20kHz, ensuring your microphone picks up everything from the bassy low-end to the sparkling highs. The cardioid polar pattern makes it ideal for vocal recordings as well as interviews and other front-source recording.

Automation Attenuation & Clipping History

One of the most unique features of the LCT 550 is the Automation Attenuation functionality, with three pre-attenuation settings for added convenience. This feature is designed to switch between attenuation settings if the microphone incurs a signal that is too strong. This ensures your microphone is capturing the highest-quality recordings every time, catering to the different applications and audio sources with ease. The LCT 550 also provides history, providing a visual representation of when the signal was too strong, so you can adjust your levels and sources accordingly. Dual Switchable Low-Cut Filters

Another convenient feature of the LCT 550 is the incorporation of 2 switchable low-cut filters, allowing you to eliminate unwanted background noise and/or pulling out some of the low-end. The 2 settings consist of 80Hz (12dB/Oct), 160Hz (6dB/Oct ), providing you with a convenient way of adjusting your sound sources.

Design & Construction

The robust yet sleek design of the LCT 550 will fit into any existing studio setup. The transformerless preamp circuit minimises any electromagnetic interference, ensuring your signal is kept in-tact even in the most demanding of environments. The gold-plated 3-pin XLR output connector is incorporated for its signal transference qualities, ensuring your signal is processed properly, keeping the audio fidelity at its best. The interface of the microphone is also illuminated, allowing you to easily see your settings, even in low-light settings. The galvanized steel-mesh, helps to eliminate unwanted internal reflections. Additionally, the microphone comes complete with a black carry case, shockmount, carry case and a leatherette bag for storing your microphone when not in use.
