Doepfer A-180-3 Buffered Multiples (4HP) Overview

The Doepfer A-180-3 Buffered Multiples module features independent outputs, each with its own buffer. Applying a signal to the input socket of one of the multiples results in a buffered signal put out from the three corresponding output sockets. The bottom output of the top multiple section is normalled to the input socket of the bottom multiple section, providing you with a potential 1-in-6 buffered multiple when no signal is applied to the input of the bottom multiple section. It is also possible to pick-up the bus CV and normalize the input socket of the bottom section to the bus CV. The Doepfer A-180-3 Buffered Multiples module is a truly versatile solution to your buffered multiple requirements.

PCB Jumper Configuration - Normalling Of The Input Of The Lower Unit

  • Upper Position (Factory Setting): Connection to the output of the upper multiple unit
  • Lower Position: Connection to the CV line of the A-100 bus (i.e. The bus CV signal is normalled to the input of the lower unit, the signal is "picked up" from the bus)
  • No Jumper: No normalling

PCB Jumper Configuration - Output Lower Unit To Bus CV

If this jumper is installed, the output of the lower multiple unit is connected to the CV line of the A-100 bus. The Doepfer A-180-3 Buffered Multiples "transmits" in this case, the CV to the bus. The jumper is not installed here from the factory.
