The Nektar Panorama P6 is ideal for digital musicians and classic players alike, with its velocity-sensitive keybed providing fluid playability. The 61-note keyboard features 5 velocity curves as well as fixed ones. It also features the standard pitch bend and modulation assignable wheels for added expression when recording and playing. The keybed is accompanied by octave shift buttons and as well as 4 keyboard zones with can be programmed with filters and program mapping.
In addition to the feel of the keybed, the Panorama P6 also boasts a range of performance controls including 16 encoders, 45mm faders, LED buttons and even performance pads for drumming and triggering samples. The 12 performance pads are velocity and pressure sensitivity and boasts 7 velocity curves for maximum versatility. You can use the performance pads for everything from triggering samples in a live performance, to recording drum patterns within your selected DAW. The other performance controls such as the encoders and faders are ideal for controlling everything from volume levels to automation and more. Transport controls are also included allowing you to improve your workflow when recording and playing within your selected audio software.
At the centre of the keyboard’s design is the 3.5-inch, TFT display which provides easy navigation of your presets, controls and more. The display gives you information on the way your keyboard is reacting as well as ways to integrate with your selected DAW. It also features a dedicated 10mm ALPS motorised faders as well as 6 assignable navigation buttons. The keyboard features a 5-pin MIDI din output for communication with your selected DAW, as well as connection for a foot switch and an expression pedal. Nearly every control and performance function can be mapped to your DAW for flawless integration.
Bitwig Studio 2 features a wide range of improvements and enhancements designed to improve workflow, sound quality, arrangement and more. One of the most prominent features of Bitwig Studio 2 is the world class sound content, with over 8GB of premium-quality samples, multi-samples, loops, one-shots and more. The sound library also contains over 2,000 presets and clips, all royalty free and ready for professional use. All the sound content is available via Bitwig Studio’s Package Manager, a powerful tool that allows you to manage your library and grab as much sound content as you desire.
In addition to the improved sound content, BitWig Studio 2 also includes a range of new devices such as the Spectrum Analyzer. The Spectrum Analyzer is an essential tool for most producers, giving you a visual representation of your sound within the frequency range, allowing you to see where your sound’s ‘sweet-spot’ is. A range of new devices are also included such as: Dual Pan, DC Offset, Phaser, Pitch Shifter, Treemonster, Multi-Note, Note Length, Note Echo, Note Latch, Note Velocity, Note Harmonizer and more.
The Bitwig Studio 2 features a flexible panel based user interface, allowing you to customise the way you work to suit your own style. The interface allows you to choose what you wish, depending on what you require. The Clip Launcher within Bitwig Studio 2 works alongside your arrangement window, allowing you to draft your song’s layout without actually affecting the final arrangement. This is great for testing out ideas, or organising live performances without affecting your keystone arrangement. The highly detailed editor window optimises your workflow and audio editing capabilities, allowing you to make non-destructive edits within a clip.
