The new transformer design provides an add 5dB more to the output, resulting in a punchier sound with a focus on the low-midrange. Not only that, but the Hot Rod Anniversary Edition features a sleek back-accented trim design to match this limited-edition ribbon mic.


Ideal for close-micing applications, the R-10 Hot Rod shines when it comes to recording guitars, brass and other loud instruments - with the mic able to handle sound pressure levels up to 160dB without distortion. Combined with the three-layer windscreen system and internal ribbon element; the R-10 Hot Rod delivers a smooth yet distinctive sound that will punch through any mix.
