Developed alongside internationally renowned clarinettist Milan Rericha, the Umbra combines a rich tonal character with a remarkably free-blowing feel, a pairing that is rarely found in a clarinet mouthpiece. To achieve its distinctive response, Chedeville retained a traditional Chedeville-inspired internal shape while modifying the bore and chamber. The result is a darker sound and a more open playing experience. Crafted from proprietary Chedeville hard rubber and manufactured in Savannah, Georgia using CNC machining and detailed hand-finishing, each mouthpiece is carefully measured and play tested for consistency. A deluxe carry pouch and bamboo canister are included for safe storage and transport.
