Using the historic combination of maple and spruce for the body, Master Xue Ping Hu has faithfully replicated Stradivari's original designs. The highly figured two-piece back of stunning maple has been meticulously book-matched to produce a perfectly balanced tone. The top is crafted from two pieces of medium grain selected spruce that not only looks amazing, but projects beautifully. These woods are hand selected based on their age and narrowness of grain, before being hand carved for a sound and appearance full of history. For the perfect finish, the violin is varnished with antiqued chestnut brown.
One of Central Europe's most distinctive violin virtuosi, Arnold Rose was concertmaster of one of the world's greatest orchestras. Performing at the heart of the Vienna Philharmonic, Rose was at the centre of the orchestra for more than half a century.
Along side his ensemble work, Rose was also a well-respected soloist. Rising to the challenge of both classic and contemporary repertoire, Rose recorded some of his performances between 1900 - 1910. To this day, Rose is most well known for leading his quartet, which even toured America in 1928. After marrying Mahler's young sister Justine in 1902, he was exiled to England, more specifically Blackheath in London, where he spent the rest of his years until death in 1946.
Providing you with a comfortable feel and endless tonal opportunities, the Larsen Virtuoso strings are a favourite of musicians worldwide. Using the latest materials in core material and silver for the windings of the lower two strings, the Virtuoso produces a clear sound full of subtle complexities. Set up by a master luthier, the replica violin has been set up with care and precision ensuring the violin is ready to play.
The Marco Raposo violin bow demonstrates elegance and durability with a timeless feel. This bow combines intricate hand crafting methods with modern technological advancements for an impression that’s both familiar and consistent. Silver lapping and mountings give this bow a more weighted feel and attractive look, while the rounded stick is ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip. The Brazilian pernambuco wood stick translates the subtle nuances and expression in your performance for an open weight on the strings. This violin bow enables the advanced and musician to develop and articulate their own tonal characteristics and playing style.
Also included in this outfit is a Negri Classic violin case made with a wooden frame, featuring a water-repellent, nylon canvas cover. The Negri Classic features carry straps so the case can be used as a backpack. The case has a velvet interior with two large accessory pockets and features a high-quality lock to keep your instrument safe and secure.
